Jupiter rocket nose cone recovered after test flight
The Jupiter IRBM flight ended with the nose cone recovered intact in the Atlantic Ocean four and a half hours after launch. Defense officials say the re-entry test confirms heat shielding and manages a critical step toward operational deployment. Navy observers aided the recovery aboard the submarine rescue ship Escape near the Florida coast.
