Washington May 18 The senate plans to devote the week to the Philippine government bill with a final vote likely after a Rochambeau statue unveiling next week. House actions include passports, immigration restriction and currency questions amid expected heated debate shaping a busy congressional period. Havana May 19 Governor General Wood expected to leave about 400000 dollars in the Cuban treasury due to warrant payments, a smaller amount than earlier estimates.
President Mitchell has not received consent from sufficient districts to call a national convention involving soft coal miners. Ralph M. Easley of the National Civic Federation visited strike headquarters. he said the trip was informational with no settlement plan or messages.
