Marine Police to guard state racing course on holiday weekend
About ten percent of Maryland Marine Police will join security at the Fair Hill Race Course Memorial Day weekend along with ten inland division officers. The plan aims to cover both the event and heavy boating on Chesapeake Bay though some officers call it an injustice and understaffing. Officials say the move will cost about 2500 dollars for two days and avoids cutting other duties.
