Farmers Affected By Ruling For Tax Purposes
The U S government urges owners of depreciable property including farmers to deduct salvage values before computing depreciation for income tax. Many taxpayers previously ignored salvage values, now facing taxes after deductions in prior years. Enforcement prompts objections to prior-year adjustments and deducting all depreciation plus salvage. Police report two arrests: Raymond John Lee Jr. for failing to grant right of way and Henry Lee Gray for intoxication, both in Frederick. John Wilbur Hoffman appears in fragmentary text.
