Housekeeping Staff at Frederick Memorial Hospital
Article by Jean Yingling highlights the housekeeping and auxiliary staff at Frederick Memorial Hospital. It notes 20 housekeeping workers in roles from maids to orderlies, led by chief housekeeper Mrs. Harvey Hurell, and mentions improvements like a new ironer and washer extractor funded by the Auxiliary. It also covers laundry operations, hospital business staff, and public relations reflections on service and patient care. The piece closes with a note on the Class of 1957 nursing school baccalaureate service at All Saints Episcopal Church and cites a Korean War-era Guards mobilization.
