Baltimore Announces Master Plan for Downtown Rebuild
Baltimore outlines a 470 million plan to redevelop the downtown core centered on the Charles Center. It calls for 355 million in private investment, 4,000 parking spaces, a new civic center, a two story shopping mall, a government center, eight office towers including a federal building, an eight block, 22 acre site, and a 800 room hotel with a 3,000 seat TV theater. Endorsement from Mayor Grady and necessary approvals by city agencies and voters are required before loan features are submitted.
