Feeder Pig Sale Set by Maryland Producers Association
The Feeder Pig Sale organized by the Maryland Swine Producers Association will be held Thursday at 1 pm at the Allen C. Driver Auction Market in West Friendship. Pigs weighing 2 to 125 pounds will be sold by the producer with bids by weight and breed in groups of various sizes. The sale aims to give Maryland farmers a strong market for healthy pigs, with the next sale planned for early November after a prior event moved 845 pigs at an average 23 cents per pound.
