State Court Won't Halt Thanos Execution in Maryland
Maryland's Court of Appeals refused to stay the execution of condemned killer John Frederick Thanos while challenging the state's new lethal injection law. Thanos, 45, is set to die for the 1990 murder of Gregory Taylor Jr. and involved shootings during a Labor Day 1990 robbery. The ACLU signaled no further action until after the execution.
