Residents seek lower real estate tax rate in 1986 hearing
Frederick County Commissioners heard residents urge a tax cut despite no rate increase for fiscal 1986. With a higher assessable base, the rate could drop from 2.25 to 2.08 per 100, preserving current revenues, while 2.6 million more could be raised if kept at 2.25. Budget officer Keller noted the rate above the constant yield.
