Ex-Frederick School Aide Wins Montgomery Post

A Frederick County school aide, Dr. Brown, was chosen to fill a Montgomery County post after a Tuesday meeting. Board members Charles Bell and William Coyle opposed, arguing adequate county personnel existed. Dr. Brown is a Brunswick High School graduate with degrees from Western Maryland College and Teachers College, Columbia University.

Lecture On Lasers At Frederick High

Harry L. Thurman of Westinghouse will speak on lasers at Frederick High School in the Agriculture Building. The May 19 lecture is the seventh in eight Maryland Academy of Sciences seminars begun in 1963 by Dewey Dykstra Jr. and tied to Frederick High School Science Club activities.
