Traffic control needs improved signals at Square and Main streets
The article notes limited effectiveness of current traffic devices at the Square and calls for relocating electrically operated units and installing modern timing controls at Main Street intersections. Material shortages hinder progress and no SRC traffic survey has materialized, though the SRC could extend control on Market and Patrick streets via city agreements, including parking meters if needed.
