State Plumbing Board Members Injured In Auto Wreck
Three members of the State Board of Plumbing Commissioners traveling to Frederick for license renewals were in an automobile wreck near Unionville on Liberty road. Reuben Goldman, driver, was injured in the chest. the car skidded on a wet curve and side swiped a truck owned by Maryland Transportation Co. Goldman was taken to Baltimore for treatment. Chairman Harry Elgin and member Henry Ackerman were unhurt and continued to Frederick with Frank Eppley. The accident occurred at 9:00 am near Picnic Hill. No charges were filed. Elgin and Ackerman stayed in Frederick for city hall hearings, then planned to visit Cumberland Saturday. About fifteen master plumbers and around one hundred journeymen are licensed in Frederick County.
