A 34 year old Gaithersburg man Keith Edward Waldron died after a MARC train struck him while he lay on railroad tracks near Chestnut Street crossing. Police said the death did not appear self caused. The engineer could not stop in time. service was halted for hours during investigation.

Suspect surrenders after barricade in Frederick City
Frederick police faced a barricade when Robert L. Rowe 21 refused to exit for an hour after a 245 am call at Brookside Apartments Willowdale Drive. Man detained after vigilante search for runaway son
Frederick County man Lenny A. Geisbert, 36, of Braddock Heights, forced entry to a Urbana Pike residence, brandished a .22 Derringer, then compelled a resident to drive to a second address on Fire Tower Road where his son was found. He confronted occupants there with the gun. Geisbert faces reckless endangerment false imprisonment handgun violations driving while intoxicated possession of a controlled dangerous substance and multiple assault counts. He was released on personal recognizance.

New York Man Dies After Apparent Heart Attack on US 15
Rufus Johnson, 55, of Geneva, New York, was found slumped over his car steering wheel on US 15 near Motter Avenue in Frederick County early Friday. Man charged after breaking into former girlfriend’s home
Frederick area man William C. Hickox, 32, broke a door panel at 28 W. 6th St. at 4 a.m. and unlocked the door. He fought with his former girlfriend’s new boyfriend, Harold Wolfe, and was found outside drinking a beer. He faced charges of battery, destruction of property, trespassing, burglary and drinking in public. He was treated for minor injuries at Frederick Memorial Hospital and released.
