I-70 Work On Schedule As Major Relocation Advances
State highway officials report the I-10 relocation between East Patrick Street and east of Siamsville Reed remains on schedule. In two weeks westbound traffic will funnel to a single lane near the Sew Bridge. The Sew section should open in late August or early September with a rerouted, limited access highway. A new Monocacy River bridge will ease steep approach. A scenic overlook is starting north of Baker Valley Road, with project completion hoped for next spring. Weather favorable for U.S. 15 and U.S. 40 work from Md. 17 to Frederick-Washington line.

County to Inspect Bridges to Access Federal Funds
Frederick County plans biannual inspections of 175 bridges to qualify for 1.5 million dollars in federal repair money over three years.
