Cane Krusenstern Archaeological District Named National Landmark
The two million acre Cane Krusenstern Archeological District on Alaska’s northwest coast becomes a National Historic Landmark. It ranks among North Americas richest Arctic sites with 114 marine beach ridges showing 60 year occupation spans. The ridges hold evidence from every major Arctic culture period dating back about five thousand years.

Brunswick Ambulance Company Drives Annual Fund Campaign
The Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance Company launches its 16th annual fund drive with door to door canvassing on May 6 7 and 8. Founded January 1958 the service began with a 19 percent Cadillac ambulance and expanded to include a GMC rescue truck river boat and land ambulances. Arthur Williams president urges residents to donate about 5000 this year to sustain operations.
