Garrett pleaded guilty to four embezzlement indictments and one forgery charge and was sentenced to 11 years The court imposed seven years for embezzlement and four for forgery to run concurrently The proceedings included a dramatic open confession and a remorseful plea from Garrett who pledged to repay back money and asked for leniency while judges reflected on the case and the burden of delivering justice before grand jurors.
