Dr Bookwalter of Western University argued that the small freshwater college will not vanish but form a connected system from kindergarten to university. Dr W M Bell urged missionary work and church college growth, raising 925 dollars to aid local debt before benediction by Rev A P Funkhouser.

Funk spoke on publishing interests and the church’s life, noting literature’s influence on institutions and citing Homer, Paul, Napoleon, and past victories as inspiration.
