The weapon was a loaded gun found by the boy who fled then surrendered. a jury charged murder as a court case advances to September.
Boston reports detail the schooner John B Norris bringing Capt Paul Jones and two Mabel crewmen after their schooner sprang sick near Gloucester. The men were pulled to the Norris in a dory three miles from Highland Light.
