Windmill to Return as Mont Co Fair Gift
A 35 foot windmill from the Andersons farm near Dickerson is being moved to the Montgomery County fairgrounds as a permanent gift. William Anderson recalls the windmill predates his father’s 1941 land purchase and notes his father’s role in founding the county Agricultural Center and Fair. Sam Philips and Mike Roth helped arrange the project and Sam, a Seneca Valley High student, plans to build the foundation and pump tank so the mill can actually draw water.
