Red China Says It Can Deliver Tactical Atomic Bomb
Edward K. Kennedy reports from Taipei on Formosa that Tiger Wang, a hardened commander, states the Chinese Communist air force can deliver tactical atomic bombs to Pacific targets. He cites 42 airfields within MIG-15 range and 25 within L-28 range, with new runways and revetments for heavy anti aircraft and dozens of revetments. He notes U.S. bases in the Philippines, Okinawa, and Japan as targets and warns America to expect a strengthened Red threat.
