In Westminster three Carroll County outlets near Frederick were convicted for selling beer to a 19 year old Maryland State Police cadet accompanied by liquor inspector Charles Keyser. The board fined Penn Mar Laquors Taneytown 1200 for the Crossroads Inn Keymar 250 for Village Store 250 with 30 day appeals.

Infant in police chase linked to arrests and drugs
Baltimore police said a four month old was a back seat passenger during a chase that ended with four arrests and the seizure of more than $16,000 in crack cocaine. The pursuit began when officers tried to stop a suspected stolen car. Two passengers fled, one stopped the vehicle, and the four arrestees face charges including reckless endangerment and drug distribution. The infant was reuniting with his grandmother.
