He will decide later on any Maryland Municipal League post while focusing on his reelection campaign. The Sept 13 primary and Nov 8 general election are scheduled. Missing man James Rumer boat and belongings found
The boat and personal items believed to belong to James Lee Rumer a 35 year old Brunswick resident who went missing after leaving to fish on the Potomac River were recovered. State Police were en route to the location after a resident reported finding the items. Foul play is suspected and searches had previously turned up nothing despite boats hikers and a State Police helicopter involvement.

Mandel Skips Hearing On Delay Of New Trial
Gov. Marvin Mandel did not appear at a hearing on delaying his second political corruption trial citing a brain disorder.
