Funeral Monday for Frederick man in auto crash
Coroner’s inquest will be held Monday morning into the death of Philip Henry Clay Birely 65 of Frederick who died after a Friday night auto crash on North Market Street. The driver Lewis Carson 20 of Litksville was released by state officers pending the inquest. Birely deaf for years, he did not notice the northbound car as he crossed the street. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 30 from his home 17 East Second Street with burial in Mt Olivet cemetery. Richard P Rice funeral director. He is survived by his brother William C Birely a daughter Mrs J Walter Getty and his wife who died eighteen months ago.
