Citizenship essay winners bond prizes awarded
Nosge Eten Ach Smith and Janet Arlene Springer led the Frederick County Civitan Club contest awarding bonds for top essays. Dolores E. Etzter and John P Hehir won third and fourth with $23 and $25 bonds. Judges included Judge Edward S. Delaplaine, Miss Pearl S. Bader, and Miss Elizabeth Bowers. The program at the Francis Scott Key Hotel featured remarks on citizenship in school and a film by the Air Force Thunderbirds.
