Life in 1975 predicted to resemble horse and buggy days
Predictions from the United States Chamber of Commerce foretell 1975 life with glass walls in houses, interiorless rooms, automatic lighting, atom-powered cars with self-parking, emotional weather-responsive windows, and groceries heated or frozen in packets for instant cooking or cooling. The vision hints at widespread automation and new consumer conveniences.

Spain US pipeline project to link Cadiz to Madrid bases
Construction begins this month on a nearly 300 mile fuel pipeline from Cadiz to Seville and Madrid to supply American and Spanish bases. The US Navy oversees the project with Spanish contractors, costing about 10 million dollars for labor and materials and slated to finish in 435 days in late 1936. The line, three feet underground across two mountain ranges, improves military logistics and boosts Spain’s economy amid broad defense aid figures in Europe.
