Salvation Army hosts free block party this weekend
Salvation Army minister Mary Kay Hearne says the church will hold a free block party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. near its building between Bentz Street and Trail to thank neighbors and supporters. The event features entertainments, food, clowns, and a gospel concert from 6 to 7:30 p.m. donation-driven pricing aims to cover costs, not profit. Local businesses donated items for the carnival and planning is led by the church's outreach committee.
