Frederick City annexes Crumland Farm 111 acres
Frederick aldermen unanimously approved annexing 111.5 acres of Crumland Farm north of the current city limits. The land, largely open pasture, lies east of Opossumtown Pike and north of Cloverhill 11 and Arrowhead developments. Zoning is low to medium density residential in the west and planned industrial in the east, with a county request for no more than 200 housing units. The action, effective June 21, aims to capture tax revenue from nearby growth while keeping taxes unaffected until development occurs. Local officials noted projections likely stay below 400 units.
