School Board Seeks Land Deals and New Schools
Frederick County Board discussed acquiring six to eight acres from Paul Anderson Takoma Park in exchange for land for civic use. Agreement hinged on impartial appraisal. Anderson would donate soil rights if authorities provided suitable land for recreation. Board also approved 1500 to add 50 feet of right of way at Yellow Springs elementary and planned grounds for New Market and Thurmont schools. Additional items covered Harmony Grove plans, Walkers and a new junior senior high in Urbana, and a water sewer path for Hamilton Homes.
