Secretariat Fails to Impress as a Stud in Early Offspring
In Lexington Secretariat, once a Triple Crown icon, faces mixed early results as a stud. Of 36 mares bred in 1975, 30 foals are alive, with varied conformation and no clear signal yet of elite racing progeny. Some offspring race later this month, but experts urge patience, noting the first Secretariat colts are big and leggy and not yet proven racers.
