Miracle Mile short of goal for pediatric trauma fundraiser
Frederick Kiwanis Club organizers dubbed the Miracle Mile a fundraiser to lay a mile of quarters through the mall. After three days they collected $3,000 of the $15,000 goal, blamed on a slow economy and competition from other events. The money benefits Johns Hopkins Hospital Regional Pediatric Trauma Center and pediatric trauma training for Frederick County EMS.
