Frederick Maryland based Comptroller Louis L. Goldstein, a long time advocate of new cross bay and Potomac River spans, backs a consultant study to evaluate a second Chesapeake Bay Bridge and a Potomac crossing linking Charles County to Virginia. NBC show on women at work sparks debate on babies and families

She cites high day care costs, risks to babies from turnover, and the burden on taxpayers, while criticizing the notion of universal daytime care and 50-50 parenting as impractical. She notes husbands are deprioritized and domestic life suffers under two income households.
