AAP reports tornadic winds killed at least one and injured about 50 across west Texas Oklahoma and Kansas. Faust fined for leaving scene of Route 340 crash
Charles A. Faust, 44, of 230 West Patrick street, was fined 501.45 after being convicted of leaving the scene of an accident. He was acquitted on drunken driving before Magistrate Manuel M. Weinberg in Peoples Court. The incident followed a collision at Steiner's Hill on Route 340 last Friday night involving Faust and John H. Block of Baltimore. State Trooper Harold L. Basore testified Faust appeared under the influence and staggered when asked to walk a line. The case notes an odor of alcohol and Faust’s claim the odor came from medicine.

Glorious 24 of Hyattsville and Harold E. Skipper 25 of Washington were held without bond after a police court hearing. They pleaded innocent to the charge which carries a possible death penalty in Maryland. The girl denied intercourse occurred.
