Auto Crash Kills Horse Injures Family Near New Market
A Dodge touring car carrying Mr and Mrs Alexander and three children of Greenspring West Virginia struck a horse on the state road at the eastern edge of New Market. The horse was dragged 20 feet and shot to end its suffering. The Alexanders and the driver were bruised and cut with no internal injuries. A second car, a Ford, passed safely. The accident occurred between 10 30 and 11 o'clock. One horse belonged to Thurman Burgess of near New Market and was in charge of Clayman Crampton. Officer Eicholtz led the state police probe. The price of the horse was about 200 dollars.

Three Killed After Fight With Bandit Gang Near Canton
