Jury finds doctors not negligent in Maryland suit
A Frederick jury cleared surgeons Edward A. Solano and Nicholas P. Foris of medical negligence in a $2.2 million suit filed by former Howard County policeman Roy N. Rogers. Rogers, who had an operation on March 18, 1983, for a stomach ulcer and an eight month hospital stay, sought damages after alleging failure to follow standards. The trial lasted three weeks with about an hour of deliberation before the verdict at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
