Engineer marries design with computers for tailor fit
Dana B Rogers, University of Dayton engineer, combines fashion design with computer aided design to create off the rack priced garments. Using personal computer programs he translates dressmaker measurements into computer models hoping to produce tailor fit patterns. He develops measurement reference points on a dressmaker dummy to generate grids and slopers for home sewers and plans to scan bodies with light in future steps.
