Gibbons Selected as Annapolis Head
Captain John H. Gibbons, on union duty as a leader on the general board of the navy, will be detailed by Secretary Meyer to serve as superintendent of the naval academy at Annapolis on May 15. He succeeds Captain John M Bowyer, who will be relieved due to ill health.
