Nation's first test tube twins go home
Nation's first test-tube twins, Heather Jean Tilton and Todd McDonald Tilton Jr., left North Shore University Hospital for home in Manhasset New York at five days old. Doctors called them in excellent condition and their parents spoke of joy and wonder. The parents described the birth through the in vitro method designed to help couples with blocked fallopian tubes or low sperm count, noting the religious significance and personal miracle as they prepared to settle into family life.
