Officials hear bill unpassed in Senate committee
Frederick County officials learned at a Baltimore meeting that a state wide assessment bill remains in Senate committee, despite earlier belief it had passed both houses. The bill would replace the 1951 real estate and personal property assessment law and move to year by year taxation. Senator Goldstein heads the committee and passage now seems doubtful.
