Kansas Mother of the Year selection marred by clerical error
The American Mothers Committee admitted a mixup that wrongly informed 39 Kansas mothers they had been chosen as state candidates for National Mother of the Year. A clerical error caused volunteers to mail Dear State Mother of 1959 letters instead of Dear Member invitations. Aileen Fogarty, national director, said the error came from mailing lists and letters, with two affected individuals already notified.
