Missing 10 year old found after large search
A 10 year old girl, Jessica Summers, was located late Sunday night after a large ground and air search by canine units and the Maryland State Police helicopter. She emerged from the woods near Himes Road around 10:30 p.m. and called her mother. Detective notes say she had been missing since about 2:20 p.m. Behind Bartonsville Road she was last seen talking to Timmy Cantler. Cantler, later found semiconscious in the woods, was treated for hypothermia and a possible alcohol overdose at Frederick Memorial Hospital. The search involved deputies, a state police bloodhound, and a helicopter. Authorities say Jessica would not get into a car with a stranger and remained with Cantler while he allegedly drank heavily. The mother says Jessica is loyal and would stay with him.
