County rejects offer to swap fine for suspension in LCCC case
Frederick County commissioners unanimously denied LCCC Disposal Inc a proposed exchange of a 5 000 to 10 000 dollar fine for suspending trash dumping for 90 days. The Gaithersburg firm faces a 90 day suspension beginning April 8 after transporting Montgomery County trash to Reich's Ford Road landfill on February 27, and prior similar violations. The group plans to appeal to the Frederick County Circuit Court, arguing the penalty risks its business.
