IBM to Cut Workforce Amid Earnings Slump
IBM plans a world wide job cut of over 10 000 this year about 2 7 percent following the sale of laser printer and office products operations. The move aims at savings of 200 million in 1991 and 800 million annually in later years, with most cuts via voluntary programs and attrition.
