Divided planners send annexation bid to council in Walkersville
The Walkersville planning commission deadlocked 2-2 on Frederick County Developers and Exxon annexation request for 9.8 acres north of Md 194 between Fountain Rock Manor and Glade Manor. The plan split zoning changes for 2.1 acres around the Exxon station and pond and the rest to residential use, citing traffic concerns and lack of neighbor notification. The commission forwarded the item to the town council without a recommendation while also approving two new lots on Hansel R. Staley property with access off Glade Road.
