Practice GED Test and Classes Notice
A practice GED test will be offered at Gov Thomas Johnson High School on April 21 in room 44. Registration is limited to 15 on a first come basis. open to anyone 16 or older. A $7 fee applies. tester Martin Nikirk will supervise from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. Preregistration through the Adult Parish Office of Frederick County at 694 1829. Also details on free GED classes for qualified adults. Additionally, a report of a burglary in Lamsville with $1,075 in goods stolen from Primrose Court home.

Creativity Fair at FSK Mall April 9
The AACE Creativity Fair at Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick County runs Saturday April 9 from 11 am with exhibits games a magic show clowns music and drama. Eleven to thirteen activity areas include computer science history architecture botany and games. Ribbons awarded in three age groups plus a participation ribbon for all entrants. Entertainment by YMCA characters the Little Engine Company Frederck High Jazz Ensemble and others with clowns roaming the venue. Chairs are Kate Groth Nancy Wynne and Dr John George Steve Webb oversees mall coordination.

Peace Celebration at St John Church Sets April 6
St John the Evangelist Parish Council will host a peace celebration at 7 pm on April 6 in St John's auditorium located at 114 E Second St Frederick. An awards presentation for an essay contest “Peacemaking in a Nuclear Age” will precede the festivities with Rev Richard McSorley S J as guest speaker, head of Georgetown University's Center For Peace Studies and author on peace.
