Potomac View Inn Owners Fined For Interfering With Officers

The two proprietors of the Potomac View Inn in Sandy Hook were fined 100 dollars and costs each by Magistrate Harry E. Snyder in Hagerstown after being convicted of interfering with police during a March 10 incident. Deputies could not take a prisoner into custody as a crowd scuffled in the tavern. The owners appealed to the Washington County Circuit Court and face a liquor board hearing on March 30 to show cause why their beer and wine license should not be revoked.
