Kelley fights farm system and keeps faith in independents
Baseball veteran Mike Kelley, 62, argues major league clubs misuse the farm system, citing his Minneapolis Millers deals and the trade of Red Kress, Carl Reynolds, and Dusty Cooke. He recalls Wagner's Louisville days, laments players kept from proving themselves, and urges owners to balance development with opportunity.
