Rap Brown Case Goes To Jury
In New York a jury of 11 men and one woman heard closing arguments in the murder case against H. Rap Brown and three co defendants. Prosecutor Litman accused the defense of innuendo while saying the robbers were caught red handed fleeing the scene at Sith Street Red Carpet Lounge on West 35th Street during a 1971 bar hold up that wounded police. The defense described Brown and others as bystanders and argued conspiracy and a frame. The case centers on a West Side Manhattan bar shooting and the subsequent police shootout.
