Showers to Aid State Firefighters Across Counties
Recent showers are expected to aid area firefighters who battled brush and field fires fanned by high winds on Friday. Major blazes were reported on Mountain Church Road near Burkittsville and Glissons Mill Road near Libertytown as Frederick saw a high of 78 degrees. Cooler temperatures are forecast to continue with 60s today and 50s Sunday as winds ease to 10-20 mph.
