A Baltimore era piece urges Maryland to reject new state level assessments and defend existing tax law. It argues current county valuations and appeals suffice, critiques proposed state assessors, warns against political motives, and calls for Democratic unity to support the Wilson tariff and Cleveland administration while pushing reforms at both state and local levels. The author targets county commissioners, state officials, and party leaders, urging durable fiscal policy and leadership.
