Maryland lawmakers debate tightening rules on diminution credits that let inmates shorten sentences for good behavior. Teacher placed on leave amid investigation at Catholic school
In Gaithersburg a part-time teacher at Mother of God School is on administrative leave as Montgomery County Police probe allegations of improper touching involving a first grade student. No charges have been filed. the teacher’s name has not been released. Police interviewed all first graders after parents complained to the principal on March 4. Principal An Jurkoynski described the impact on the school and community as very hard.
